Yolkaholic: Menu Design

Sept 2025

Yolkaholic is a modern-style breakfast cafe located in Irvine, California. They are open Mon-Sun at 9am to 4pm. From crowd-pleasing breakfast avocado toast and classic egg scramble to fresh smoothie bowls and specialty lattes. This menu features a fresh, fun, and welcoming breakfast selection that appeals to Millenials, GenZ, and families with young children residing in urban or suburban cities.

The playful name ‘Yolkaholic’ originates from two words combined; ‘yolk’ (the rich yellow gooey center of an egg) with the suffix ‘holic’ which describes someone who has an addiction or passion to something. Such as workaholic, alcoholic, shopaholic, chocoholic. The word ‘yolk’ was chosen because it is one of the most recognizable and welcome addition to the table and brand focused identity.

Logo Design Revisions

The logo was intentionally designed with a minimalistic approach since irvine is known for its diverse, family-oriented, and wellness-embraced community in California. Residents often embrace a outdoor-living and wellness culture , especially for outdoor dining such as brunches where families and friends gather for a relaxed meal. Outdoor seating and visually appealing food are popular for social media sharing. The logo design process reflects a breakfast concept centered around eggs, soft colors, frying pan, and a sans-serif type.
